Step into the spotlight with MoezArt's Community Theatre program, where aspiring performers of all ages come together to showcase their talents. Since the Fall of 2008, our community theater branch has been a hub for college-aged students and adults seeking enriching theater opportunities.

 

With an average of three shows per year, ranging from musicals to non-musical productions, our stage comes alive with creativity and passion. Whether you're an experienced performer or new to the stage, MoezArt offers a welcoming space to use your gifts and glorify God through the arts.

ABOUT

THE PLAY

Set in England during the approximate time of early 1800, five daughters of the Bennet family must be married off! Was ever a mother as put upon as Mrs. Bennet? Jane falls deeply in love with the wealthy Mr. Bingley, and it looks as if a romance is possible between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. But Mr. Darcy is a very proud young man and he is shocked by mama's vulgar matchmaking! He not only leaves for London, but also manages to take Mr. Bingley with him. Jane is heartbroken. Finally, Mr. Darcy returns to propose to Elizabeth. She promptly refuses and berates him for taking Mr. Bingley away and hurting Jane. The attraction between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy eventually triumphs over the pride of one and the prejudice of the other.

  • Prepare 1-2 minute monologue that fits the style of the show. (British accent preferred)

  • Be very familiar with the show and be prepared to read cold from the script. 

  • Bring a typed theatrical resume with your headshot attached (even though you uploaded them)

  • You will be assigned a 30 minute window in which to audition closer to audition days! Be on the lookout for this email!
